La Sacristía, (The Sacristy) an incomparable spot in Tarifa

La Sacristía Inn

In one of the most suggestive corners in the souk from the village of Tarifa ( Cádiz, Andalucía, Spain), between labyrinthine alleys, we can find this lovely, fancy restaurant, which is also a hotel. A building dating back to the seventeenth century, a unique setting where the visitor is actually surrounded by works of Modern Art, while accompanied by a superb music in order to get an ideal environment for culinary enjoyment

Here you can choose a pretty wine to enjoy from a carefully selected wine list, which includes red, pink and white wines from different parts of Spain. There are wines from the province of Cádiz, together with Bierzo, Somontano, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rías Baixas, Valdeorras, Priorat .... Led by Alvaro, the  maitre of the Sacristia, we listen to him to obtain the pairing more adequate for our dinner. He wisely advise us on the final choice in both the wine and the different dishes that you can taste.

In a place like this, Tarifa, by the coast of Cádiz, Red Tuna is the king of the table. Without any doubt one of the best places in World to try it ! red tuna is an ideal fish to combine with any type of wine, both red wines, such as white or pink. Red Tuna in Sashimi, Tataki, or Tartar; Ceviche of white fish (from the local coast itself), an original Salmorejo,(a local speciality),  Wok Vegetables and Noodles, Iberian or Esla steak .... A short but well chosen menu, and all the dishes very well cooked by the Chef , Cote. She reinterprets the local cuisine with exotic elements, especially Asian and Peruvian.

Wine, food, art and atmosphere come together for our lunches or dinners become very special moments. Highly recommended.
