A Micalla Wine Bar: Vanguardia in a medieval village

Wine Bar A Miralla
Walls of stone and a mural painting inside A Micalla
In a difficult set to match, in the heart of the medieval village of Allariz, Ourense (Spain),it is located A Micalla. There, surrounded by medieval buildings and a magnificent Romanesque church from the 13th Century, Santiago´s Church, we find this unique wine bar, where combining inside, we find a pretty contemporary decoration together with the traditional Galician stone, granite.

Maria serving behind the bar
During its fourteen years of existence, María, the owner, has managed to give a personal touch to reach a both modern and cosmopolitan look, at the same time. Actually, someone might think you're in a local fashion in New York's Soho neighborhood.
A Micalla has been specialized mainly in Galician wines: Ribeiro, Monterrey, Ribeira Sacra, Valdeorras, Rías Baixas; but wines from other Spanish appellations can be sipped. They are quality wines, selected from a very personal point of view, by a great expert like María.  An interesting variety of exquisite canapés are the perfect complement to taste wines that are served here with special care.

All these components are accompanied by a careful selection of music. If we add a friendly customer attention, the result is a very special and unique atmosphere, which encourages someone to forget about time and enjoy the moment “carpe diem”.
Once you have experienced is sure will want to come back, because we're probably facing one of the most charming wine bars from the whole area.
