This wine comes from the area of Cangas del Narcea, where in
the heat of its monastery wines were already produced in the 10th Century. Harvested in
vines with steep slopes, known as "heroic viticulture".
A strong marked Atlantic character is present. Visually it
is a wine of intense red color pillory, that appears clear and bright. Already
in the nose you can see a bouquet of black forest fruit, with aromas
reminiscent of moss and other plant species typical of the Atlantic forest,
such as laurel. There is also a slight smoky touch. In the mouth is mineral,
elegant, intense. But at the same time it is not exempt of freshness by its
alive acidity. It is a round, fleshy and tannic wine, in which fruit, wood and
acidity are very well assembled. A wine full of nuances. 17 € -18 $.
Food pairing: Its
structure and freshness allow it to pair with a wide variety of dishes, ranging
from red meat to blue fish or exquisite desserts such as “rice pudding”, typical from Asturias, a Northwest region of
Spain.
