La Tabernilla was born in the year 2012 by restaurateur Jose Lagos, and since then has been increasing its good work both in the world of wine and gastronomy in general to become a benchmark for lovers of wine and good eating .
Jose has a long experience in the world of catering. From his beginnings and learning in Seville has passed through the cookeries of such important culinary references as "Zortxico" in Bilbao, the mythical "Racó de Can Fabes" by Santi Santamaría, "Las Rejas" in Cuenca, or as chef for Barcelona football club.
His bet to return to his hometown, Huelva, took him to one of its referents, the restaurant "Peix". And it is there that he decides to take the step and get involved in his own project, the Tabernilla, which in principle was born as a tapas bar.
